Swirl

Art Forms: Music

View My Programs

About Me

Swirl is a professional jazz combo that performs in and around the seven cities of the Hampton Roads community. Swirl plays everything from Swing standards to Classic Jazz, Broadway to Soul, and Smooth Jazz to Fusion and Blues.

Formed in 2015 out of a deep love of Jazz music and live performance, Swirl is a blend of a variety of musical and cultural backgrounds. This blend not only gives Swirl its unique sound but also its name.

Between them, the members of Swirl have over 150 years of professional performances. Swirl can perform as a trio, (with or without vocals), sax quartet, or vocal quintet. Typically, for a two to three hour gig with the full quintet the charge is about $600-$900, depending on the nature of the program.

The vocalist can also act as an emcee for special events like weddings, bar and bat mitzvahs, birthdays, anniversaries, and corporate events. Swirl has hundreds of songs in their repertoire and can tailor a set list according to the needs of the client.

Swirl is dedicated to bringing professional quality performances to venues large and small, turning audiences young and old to a more intimate love of America’s original musical art forms.
