Summer Camps

Is your child ready to get out of the house? It’s time to learn and have fun this summer! Camp registration is open.

Arts for Learning provides innovative and creative educational opportunities by incorporating arts-in-education concepts into summer camps.

Our camps for young artists are led by A4L Teaching Artists who help young campers develop their own personal narrative while exploring art.

Art Camp 2020
July 27 – 31, 2020
Monday – Friday: 8:30 am – 3:00 pm
Ages: 1st Grade – rising 7th Grade

Do you love art? Do you enjoy creating drawings, paintings, sculptures, and more? Then the Suffolk Center’s Art Camp is for you! Arts for Learning has partnered with the Suffolk Center to provide professional artists to mentor students on the fundamentals of drawing, painting, sculpture, and collage. Young artists will create artwork daily and curate a final exhibition opening at the end of the week.

Theater Camp 2020
August 3 – 7, 2020
Monday – Friday: 8:30 am – 3:00 pm
Ages: 1st Grade – rising 7th Grade

The Suffolk Center invites you to enjoy a week full of theater and creativity! Arts for Learning  professional theater artists will lead students in classes in the fundamentals of theater, costume design, set design, improvisation, scene writing, and the Strasberg Method. Students will also have the opportunity to learn about song writing for the theater and will take classes on dance to create a full circle of musical theater experience. A final performance will be open to the public at the end of the week.

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Suffolk Center for Cultural camp staff will proactively follow guidelines issued by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
